PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE STATEMENT

1. General Principles VoyGull Publishing Centre Ltd is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. We generally adhere to the Core Practices defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We expect all parties involved in the act of publishing (editors, authors, peer reviewers, and the publisher) to agree to these ethical standards.

2. Peer Review Policy All research articles published by VoyGull undergo rigorous peer review to ensure academic validity and methodological soundness.

  • Models: Our journals employ different review models appropriate to their discipline, ranging from double-blind peer review (where authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other) to single-blind or open review for specific practice-based sections. Specific policies are detailed on each journal’s landing page.

  • Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

3. Plagiarism and Originality

  • Originality: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.

  • Plagiarism Screening: VoyGull reserves the right to screen submitted manuscripts for plagiarism using industry-standard software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, text recycling (self-plagiarism), or redundant publication will be rejected immediately.

4. Data Access and Retention Consistent with our mission of transparency, authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review. Authors should be prepared to provide public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases) and should ensure data is retained for a reasonable time after publication.

5. Duties of Editors

  • Decision Making: The editors are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. They are guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.

  • Confidentiality: The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher.

6. Correction and Retraction If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in a published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. VoyGull will issue corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when needed.
